About Us

The Madison County 4-H Horse Project is one of the largest in the State of Iowa with over 70 enrollees.  The Horse Project is active throughout the year and is dedicated to provide many opportunities for youth to experience all aspects of the horse industry. 

Our goals are to:

• Provide a safe and positive environment for youth to expand their horsemanship skills through safety clinics, weekly riding classes, and participation in project sponsored horse events.
• Provide educational opportunities to increase their knowledge and     understanding of the horse husbandry and horsemanship.
• Encourage good sportsmanship through competitive and non-competitive aspects of the horse project.
• Develop leadership qualities and life skills.
